Peckham Business Forum (PBF) Workshop

The evening of Wednesday 24th February was a milestone in the development of the Peckham Business Forum – we held our first workshop at the Mountview Academy of Theatre. With a group of 11 visionary and action focused independent business owners who are extremely proud of the businesses they have created, we explored the challenges, the actions needed and the role of a business forum with a live illustrator capturing the key messages from the session.

In addition to the benefits of networking, group discussion and sharing knowledge it was clear there were shared values in the room. One of the key take aways was how important it is for business owners to have access to people they can talk to and to have a space to bounce off ideas. Tree Shepherd’s Business Mentors who are invaluable to what we do are working with businesses to do exactly this and are keen, great listeners and have a wealth of experience.

We’d like to say a big shout out to the businesses in attendance who are pioneers in shaping the business forum, the outcomes of which can be seen in the live Illustration.

The businesses owners in attendance were as follows:

  • Den JJD Ladies & Men’s Underwear
  • Keep the Drums and Lose the Knife
  • Peckham Vintage Ltd
  • Queens
  • Royal Maroon Herbs
  • Royal Maroon Herbs
  • Sparadise Massage
  • Tess Couture
  • The Make Over
  • TI – Eric

These businesses are the part of life blood of Peckham, so seek them out and find out what they have to offer.
